Any commands you've inputted in that time are not recognised, but full control is restored once the freeze has finished. Essentially, between 5 and 20 seconds into the game, the screen will freeze for ~3 seconds. I actually quite liked the change myself, as it forces attackers to make quicker decisions, and by proxy gives defending a small buff - which I think it needed.ģ) There's a weird pause bug (PS4) that is happening in most rounds and was occurring for 3 out of the 4 of us. The main complaint seems to be that "it makes it feel more like CoD than a tactical, thoughtful shooter" - which I think will either a) take some time to adapt or b) might push people away from the game, if they really enjoyed that aspect.
